I am curious.
Since many people are "upside down" on t heir mortgages, they may have to go for a short sale, especially if they wish to sell quickly. Is it as easy to execute a short sale without a realtor's being involved? |

Don't drop your price.. Right now it's a buyers market - I see price drop all over the place. I'd be interested in how not to drop your price.
Selling on your own will save you the commission- but is it worth the hassle? |

I recently helped my mother sell her home in Ontario, Canada. She had good fortune because she sold the house about a week after listing it and only moved $2,000 on the sale price which was still over $100,000.
If the house hadn't sold so quickly, we were going to do a major cleaning and possibly paint some of the rooms a neutral colour. As for pricing, we consulted with two different real estate agents before setting the asking price.

Hey y'all. Did anyone ever find out about whether short sale deals could go through quickly? I don't want to have to do it, but I might end up selling my house if the economy doesn't begin to rebound soon. Last I checked, we weren't upside-down, but considering the house there are perhaps 10 homes on my street for sale, lease or rent...well, you get the picture, I'm sure.
